Fitness: Happy Hiking


With the weather warming up I’ve been trying to spend more time outside working out. I have a hard time committing to a work out schedule- as badly as I *think* I want the perfect body I just can’t seem to push myself hard enough to achieve it. Call it laziness or what you will, but I can’t seem to give myself that reward as often as I should. I go to yoga to help me relax and unwind from a crazy day at my desk, the added muscle and flatter stomach resulted are just a bonus.


One thing I do love doing is hiking- spending time outside in the trees and the sun unplugged makes all the difference to my mood. I can’t believe how much more fun it is now that we’ve thrown the dogs into the mix.


The four of us spent hours trail hiking along the river two Saturdays ago. I got a great calorie burn, quality time with my little family, and a much needed break from my glowing screens.
