What I Wore: Indie Sounds & Street Art

Last week JPC, my coworker and I made a game-time decision to kick off the holiday weekend at the Yeasayer show at The Beachland Ballroom.

I love the neighborhood that the Beachland is in because it has some of the most amazing street art in the city. Of course, I couldn’t resist a photo opp.

What I Wore: Topshop romper and belt, Report booties, See by Chloe clutch.

The show was absolutely amazing – the venue was packed with great folks dancing the night away, the band was spot on and the lights we’re unreal.

Things then took a turn… a few too many vodka gimlets and I was ready to get serious. I probably owe the Beachland 1,000 apologies…but I couldn’t help myself and post-show I ambushed the band for yet another photo opp — what can I say? I was feeling good.

After some (possible?) push back they came out and were AWESOME enough to grant me my photo opp wish. But seriously, this is the second time I’ve seen them live and they just rock. Their sound and stage presence is major – if they’re coming to your city next, don’t mess around and go!

Thanks again guys – I couldn’t have asked for a more amazing Wednesday. It was a great reminder of what summer in the city is all about.
