It’s not everyday a vodka company challenges you to make a signature vodka drink, let alone a signature BREAKFAST vodka drink.
However, that’s exactly what happened. The darling folks at Smirnoff sent me over a bottle of their latest flavored vodka, Cinna Sugar-Twist and said – blog us a breakfast cocktail. So ta-da! I bring you a recipe for Blog – The New (my coffee is no longer just) Black.
1.5 oz of Smirnoff Cinna-Sugar Twist
3 oz of your favorite home brewed espresso – my go to: Rising Star
For the cocoa mix:
2 teaspoons of cocoa
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 dash of chili powder
5 oz of organic milk
Mix the cocoa ingredients in a pot over a medium flame, then let cool to room temperature. Add room temperature espresso to the cocoa and lastly, add your vodka and drink!
I mean seriously, I can’t imagine going a breakfast without my caffeine intake and this tastes like the perfect dessert. Cap off a brunch or dinner with this bad boy (or 5) and you won’t be disappointed.
