It’s been about a year and a half since JPC and I bought our first home and said goodbye to apartment living. We’ve done some slight updating since then – mostly painting and decorating, but we’ve finally bit the bullet and we’re working on all new floors on our main floor and a whole new kitchen!
We’ve been in the thick of it for about two weeks, and most weekends/weeknights have been spent in full construction zone. Our house is completely torn up and there is dust EVERYWHERE. I’ll admit, it’s been quite the roller coaster – I’ve gone from terrified to start the process, stressed about making the design decisions, to thrilled to get started, to feeling ‘Ok, this isn’t so bad’, to feeling like I’m going to burn the whole place down. JPC and I have joked more than a few times about how the kitchen might be the end of us. Now we’re nearly done, with the full construction part anyway and I can’t wait to share the reveal with you.
Part of the reason I’ve been so spotty on the blog – is most free time is either spent working on the house or coaxing one of the pups out of the master bath – she thinks it’s a tornado shelter and we’re in the middle of a twister.
If you couldn’t already figure it out, you’re also checking out our Christmas gifts to each other 😉 In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the CoNo Reno project photos!
