A Summer Solstice Fête

Summer Solstice at CMA is by far my favorite way to kick off summer in a stylish way. This year I opted for a more FUN outfit instead of a traditional body-con cocktail dress.

My amazing printed dress happen to cost $2. I happened upon it while hunting for vintage furniture in Hudson, Ohio. It was just meant to be 😉 My beautiful girlfriends, both in Yellowcake from her most recent show.

My handsome friend Adam always has the most perfect grunge-punk looks no matter where he goes. His denim vest is just to die for.

I have to say, I felt almost conscious in such a conservatively cut dress. I was worried I looked like I was wearing a mumu. Thankfully, while expressing my doubt to my girlfriend Nikki, a stranger came up to me to assure me I looked awesome… phewwww 😉

I feel like Rachael put it best when she described my dress as very much like a scene from Coming to America… I couldn’t ask for a more awesome movie comparisson.
